Softly softly...

open shoppe…

Make it rhyme – you know you want to.

Actually I’m not really opening shoppe just yet, because I’m in a skill swap for one,and it’s not ready yet, but I thought that I could show you my little showcase site until the shop* opens. It’s called Full:of handmade things and I hope you’ll have a look.

(*I don’t know about anyone else embarking on such an adventure but to me the idea of having an internet shop makes me feel giggly, because it seems like the kind of thing real people do. I’m trying to get over things like this but since I can’t afford therapy it might take a while. :)

As with most things I do it’s all taking longer than I think it will, but when it does happen I’d like to do a giveaway for you lovely people. I really do appreciate the fact that come and visit me here, and I love getting to know you through your comments.

Thank you!

It looks great; I love the little personal touch in the intros to each item, and the site looks really professional. I know what you mean about the ‘real people’ thing – for the past 4 years I’ve been a stay at home mum and before that I was a postgrad student. It’s v exciting to be doing something grown up like setting up a business, no matter how small.

Congratulations on your shop, it looks very inviting. It’s so exciting to see someone doing what they love and going for it. All the best for the opening.

Jo, what a lovely, lovely site, so full of personality! My personal favourite though, comes on the contact page where you say ‘I say we, but really it’s just me’…that made me giggle out loud like a loon…(partly because having had contact with several small businesses I always find it hilarious the efforts they will go to try and make it look like it’s not just 1.5 men in a room)- your honesty is lovely.

Most importantly though – your products are gorgeous! Well done!

Congratulations on doing a fantastic impersonation of a ‘real’ person!

Wow! I’m just amazed! It’s quite an adventure you’re getting into but it’s wonderful! Grown up AND exciting, the best combination. And I understand the giggly thing as I think I would be the same… Best wishes for your business!
