Cleaning house

My copy of Apartment Therapy turned up today and I’m very excited. We have a lot of unfinished rooms around the house, and a lot of stuff that lives on the floor. I found the pictures on the website really inspiring, with so much achieved in such small spaces, and in such a short space of time (although I’m sure that normal people would find eight weeks quite a long period of time to accomplish something like that..)

So, in the New Year we’ll be embarking first on the 8 week deep treatment, which is a way of clearing your entire house of rubbish and detritus, doing those repairs we’ve been ignoring and giving it all a good old clean. Then we’ll pick a room and do an eight week entire makeover. Actually Isaac doesn’t know any of this yet – I thought I’d surprise him. It’s his reward for leaving wood propped on the stairs for the best part of a year.

(Yes, I could do it myself without recourse to a book, but it’s a project when there’s a book involved. I like projects.)

And in other news…
Not for the easily offended: I sometimes check my logs to see who’s visiting, if anyone is visiting, and why they might be coming here. The other day I spotted a referral from google india, that I had to click on. Personally, it think it’s hilarious=, and of course, now I’ve posted it I’ll be the number one result for that particular search term…

But HOW does someone come up with that particuarly weird selection of words to search for?…it’s good to know that your visitor from India was specific in his perversions though. Your blog is normally such a delight, but I fear he may have gone away disappointed…
