Elephant's Breath

No more progress on the bag today as it’s been all post holiday paperwork, filing, VAT and tax returns. Gosh – imagine what it will be like next year when I have to submit my own return as well?

I did take a small break to do something nice and cheering and ordered paint for our bedroom, which is called, yes, you’ve guessed it, Elephant’s Breath. I love Farrow & Ball colour names, and their descriptions are just lovely. Sadly I’ve lost my colour card but I could spend hours looking at it.

Have you picked a favourite colour name yet?

Oooh, that sounds like it’s going to look lovely – very calming and elegant.

My favourite paint colour name is Mischief by The Little Greene (and I love their thick chalky paints)…as I think the idea of having mischief on your walls is strangely thrilling…however, as it is a very bright fuschia pink I will be having none of it…and so instead we have painted the inside of every house we’ve ever had in Little Greene’s Serenity instead (which has now been discontinued, but our local paint shop have saved the codes needed to mix it as they know that it is an addiction for us)…which is a whitey-cream. At our last house we painted the front door in Cooking Apple Green by Farrow and Ball (my one venture into colour) and I loved walking up to that every day.

Thank you for your lovely comment by the way – poor you with the bag, so upsetting – I have had that worry myself – but the lining also has heavy-weight interfacing on it (I know that’s not strictly the done thing) and I put a tab of microfibre material behind the snap to try and give a bit of extra strength…but even with that I still have my doubts so must try and winkle out some weaker magnets).

Oh bugger, my comment is longer than your post! Who’s blog is this? Sorry, sorry!

having never bought a place that has not needed any work the F & B colours take me back to them. I loved dead salmon in one and dimity in another. The elephant’s breath will be calming and peaceful, just right.

Well, for me it would have to be Monkey Puzzle …. although I’m more of a coffee and cream / magnolia girl really. Very boring I’m afraid.

And regarding the tax returns – you’ll have done so much practise this year that next year will be a doddle.

:)
