I think I managed to sew about 6 months after my first was born, so well done to you! You brought back some memories, I remember struggling to work out how I could hang up the laundry whilst holding the baby!!!

You are at least 300 times more productive than I was after having my girl, if that makes you feel any better! Make up bags look great – is there something in the water? – that’s what I’ve been making this week too. I like your pic of the almost-finished bag carcasses ready to be completed – I get a huge amount of satisfaction by having a pile of things that are almost-done instead of working one by one. I love that drapey top too. Very pretty.

I hope you’ll get all your bags for the market finished without stress (well without much anyway), and have a nice day at the fair.

I’m always so in awe of people who sew with jersey but then I don’t own an overlocker, maybe that’s my problem.
