Perhaps I’ve had a little half term for myself. Or perhaps I’ve simply been hit with a touch of the glooms because the light is going. It’ll be March before it’s back. It’s transition time again – turn away from the window and look inside: decorations, real fires, mountains of toast, mulled wine.
No. I am still not ready.
I’ve done a bit of catch up with blog reading this morning. (Thank heavens for “Bloglines”:http://www.bloglines.com – I have no idea how I managed without it.) “Stacy”:http://www.stacysews.com/ pointed me in the direction of this “new Amy Butler pattern”:http://amybutlerdesign.com/products/patterns_display.php?id=35. Oh lord I love it, but it’s not available until next month. And then I found “the perfect fabric”:http://www.u-handbag.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=485 for it at u-handbag.
Other goodies inside the internets:
* I loved this tutorial on “turning Ikea fabric into art”:http://howaboutorange.blogspot.com/2007/10/how-to-make-fabric-panel-wall-art.html from How About Orange.
* Another excellent “crafting hero interview”:http://emomsathome.com/craft-boom/crafting-heroes-interview-with-meg-mcelwee-pattern-designer/ at Craft Boom.
* “Spider cakes!”:http://www.notmartha.org/archives/2007/10/26/spider-cakes/ at Not Martha. My how excellent – I totally want a mini bake and fill pan. Can you get them in the UK? It seems not – the only thing Betty wants to bring us are her cake mixes. Is it wrong to be snobbish about cake mixes? I’m just not sure what’s in them and it makes me anxious.
* “Satsuma Press”:http://www.satsumapress.blogspot.com/ Lovely lovely stationery, available on etsy, but scroll down for sneak previews of lovely calendars. Excellent Christmas gifts I think…
On and on…enjoy your extra hour of sleep tonight!
